Position: Youth Programmer Role in Mushkegowuk
Location: Timiskaming North (Iroquois Falls A)

Lead the development of youth programs in Mushkegowuk communities as a Youth Programmer. Collaborate closely with service workers to improve youth support and engagement.

The Youth Programmer is crucial to the success of youth services, working under the Director of Youth Services. You'll engage directly with Regional Coordinators and community partners to identify needs and create impactful programming. This role is essential for fostering connections that lead to better mental health and wellbeing for Indigenous youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation of youth programming

• Work with frontline staff to enhance services

• Determine gaps in health service delivery

• Establish partnerships with local health initiatives

• Willing to travel frequently to various communities

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work, Sports Studies, or related field

• At least 3 years’ experience with Indigenous youth

• Thorough knowledge of local social issues

• Valid Ontario Driver’s License, clear CPIC necessary

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills
