Launch your nursing career with Alberta’s Graduate Nurse Transition Pilot Program. This supportive initiative pairs you with experienced mentors for 12 months of professional development.
This program is designed for recent Registered Nurse graduates eager to build a nursing career. The GNTPP offers a two-phase structure:
Enhanced Orientation followed by Independent Practice with Support. You’ll develop critical nursing skills, ensuring patient well-being while making impactful contributions to care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide a variety of nursing services to diverse populations
• Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving in patient care
• Teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and families
• Support integrated healthcare approaches to health promotion
• Ensure safety and quality in patient-centered care
Requirements:
• Completion of accredited nursing education program
• Active or eligible registration with CRNA
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Graduate within 12 months of anticipated start date
• Review UNA Letter of Understanding #29 before interview
