Position: Evening LPN Role at Northwood Halifax
Location: Hants County (Shubenacadie)

Join Northwood in Halifax as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for part-time evening shifts. Utilize your clinical expertise and leadership skills in this permanent role focused on resident care.

In this part-time permanent evening position, you'll work 56 hours biweekly and engage in critical nursing tasks. Applicants must be LPNs registered in Nova Scotia, possessing strong interpersonal and organizational abilities. Previous experience in gerontological nursing and leadership roles is a plus, enhancing your capability to deliver effective care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform resident checks and safety rounds

• Administer medication and process doctor’s orders

• Provide personal care, including feeding and dressing

• Address concerns from residents, families, and staff

• Oversee general administrative tasks and ordering supplies

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse certification from an accredited school

• Active LPN registration in Nova Scotia

• Basic CPR certification required

• Recent clinical experience with medication administration

• Ability to lift and manage physical care tasks
