Description
Must be willing to travel to clients in all required communities (North Halton, Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton). Join Acclaim Health as a Foot Care Nurse and provide high‑quality, client‑centered care in both community and clinic settings. You will support clients in maintaining healthy, comfortable feet through assessments, treatments, and education, helping them stay mobile, independent, and confident.
This role offers a balance of clinic appointments and home visits, supported by an interdisciplinary team that values connection, care, and excellence.
Responsibilities
Provide foot and/or hand care to individuals in the community and clinic environment.
Understand and implement infection prevention practices, adhering to care standards for foot care and diabetic foot care.
Assess the health status of the client.
Adhere to public‑health guidelines for reprocessing and sterilizing foot‑care tools.
Document as per College of Nurses of Ontario guidelines.
liaise with primary‑care physicians as required.
Attend team meetings as required.
Position Requirements
Certification from an accredited Advanced Foot Care course.
Registered with the College of Nurses in good standing.
Current CPR certificate.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills.
Experience working with clients in the community.
Demonstrated initiative and commitment to professional development and skill enhancement.
Knowledge, skill, and ability to work independently providing care to clients in the home setting.
Vulnerable‑sector police check.
Up‑to‑date immunizations and TB test.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
Pay Per Visit
In‑home visits: $48.31
Clinic‑foot care: $30.20
Clinic‑hand care: $18.12
Clinic‑hand and foot care: $42.27
