Critical Care Registered Nurse

Position: Critical Care Registered Nurse Role
Location: Downtown Toronto (St. James Park)

Join Rural Roads Health Services as a Registered Nurse in the Special Care Unit at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll, with a temporary contract running until September 2027. Focus on delivering exceptional patient care in critical situations.

This position requires a Registered Nurse registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and at least a year of recent critical care experience, or completion of the related internship program. Preferred applicants should also have Medical/Surgical nursing experience and possess current BLS and ACLS certifications. Your ability to assess and intervene effectively is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality care in critical conditions

• Perform cardiac monitoring and data interpretation

• Carry out IV insertions and glucometer assessments

• Administer medications and treatments as required

• Engage with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes

Requirements:

• Registered with the Ontario Nurses' College

• At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience

• BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory

• Effective communication and patient assessment skills

• Proven reliability in attendance and work ethic
