Position Overview
Tahir Medix Staffing is seeking an experienced  Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)  to provide essential care in the  Emergency Department at Queens General Hospital . This opportunity is ideal for RNs looking for a flexible travel assignment in a rural healthcare setting.
Hospital Overview
A  12-care space emergency department  serving patients of all ages.

Core staffing per shift:  Three RNs and one LPN, with an additional CCA on day shifts to assist admitted patients awaiting transfer.

Key Responsibilities   Deliver direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency setting.

Assess, triage, and manage a variety of patient conditions, including trauma and acute medical cases.

Perform  point-of-care lab testing  and administer medications per unit protocols.

Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care.

Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in accordance with Nova Scotia Health Authority guidelines.

Qualifications    Active RN License in Nova Scotia

Minimum one year of recent emergency department experience

Mandatory certifications:  BLS, ACLS, CTAS

Preferred certifications:  TNCC, ENPC, PALS, NRP

Proficiency in IV initiation and IV medication administration

Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively under pressure

Experience in rural emergency care settings is an asset
