Operating Room Nurse – Regular Part Time

Join Groves Memorial Community Hospital as a Regular Part-Time Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. This role emphasizes a 'Grow Your Own' framework for nurses aspiring to expand their qualifications.

This part-time position is responsible for providing exemplary nursing care in the Operating Room, PACU, and Day Surgery. Preference will be given to PACU certified candidates; however, support will be provided for those willing to pursue essential perioperative training. You will be expected to adhere to nursing policies and work collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care in diverse surgical environments

• Collaborate across different areas including Endoscopy and Recovery Room

• Steward patient support and care protocols

• Maintain high standards based on evidence and practice

• Perform on-call duties as scheduled

Requirements:

• Current certification of competence from the College of Nurses

• Willingness to obtain required courses within specified time frames

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Organizational skills to handle multiple priorities

• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
