Join The Royal as a Forensic Psychiatric Nurse, helping individuals with mental illness recover faster. This temporary full-time role provides specialized care within a dynamic treatment environment.

This role operates at the Brockville Mental Health Centre, focusing on individuals involved in the criminal justice system. Ideal for nurses with up to three months of experience, you will work with diverse patients addressing mental health and addiction issues. A commitment to the standards of psychiatric nursing practice is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized mental health care in a forensic context

• Assess and treat patients found Not Criminally Responsible

• Collaborate with an inter-disciplinary treatment team

• Maintain adherence to nursing practice standards

• Document patient progress and treatment plans

Requirements:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Up to three months nursing experience

• CPR certification within the last 12 months

• Knowledge of mental health legislation

• Effective communication and teamwork skills
