Registered Nurse at Sioux Lookout

Location: Northwestern Ontario (Red Lake)

Become a key healthcare provider with the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre as a Registered Nurse. Deliver evidence-based nursing care for the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Program alongside the Rapid Access Addictions Medicine Clinic.

In this critical role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The position requires adherence to Ontario's nursing standards and a commitment to patient safety and ethics. You will engage with diverse cultures and apply your experience in crisis intervention when caring for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical assessments for RAAM clinic patients

• Offer nursing care and forensic evidence collection

• Participate in the on-call roster as needed

• Maintain standards of infection control

• Coordinate care for acute medical patients in an outpatient setting

Requirements:

• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses Ontario

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience preferred

• Training in Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence assistance preferred

• Willingness to complete ASIST or SAFE-T training

• Culturally competent care for diverse populations
