As a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will collaborate with an interprofessional care team to provide person-centered care for patients facing substance use issues. Your clinical expertise will guide nursing assessments, crisis interventions, and treatment plans, ensuring a culturally safe approach. This position emphasizes recovery, empowerment, and ongoing professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop tailored care plans

• Provide crisis counseling and follow-up in the Emergency Department

• Collaborate with health professionals to enhance patient care

• Educate patients and families on health strategies

• Document clinical records and maintain patient privacy

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse/Psychiatric Nurse registration with BCCNM

• Experience in addictions or substance use treatment

• First Aid and CPR certification

• Strong communication and assessment skills

• Knowledge of mental health legislation
