Position: Registered Practical Nurse at Retirement Home

Join our dedicated team as a Registered Practical Nurse providing essential nursing services in a retirement home setting in Midland, Ontario. Focus on administering medications and monitoring patients’ health effectively.

This full-time role requires a diploma in practical nursing and eligibility for licensure. You will ensure effective medication administration, observe patient responses, and perform vital sign assessments. CPR and First Aid certifications are a must for optimal patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer various medications to residents

• Ensure proper infection control measures are in place

• Monitor and record vital signs accurately

• Observe and document medication side effects

• Provide nursing services based on assessments

Requirements:

• Completed practical nursing diploma (1-2 years)

• Eligible for provincial licensure as a practical nurse

• CPR and First Aid certificates necessary

• Must pass tuberculosis test and vulnerable sector check

• Ability to manage physical demands of the role
