Extendicare is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide goal-directed nursing care as part of a dedicated inter-professional team. Responsibilities include clinical assessments, implementing care plans, medication administration, and resident/family education. Ideal candidates excel in communication, critical thinking, and care coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete resident clinical assessments and care plans

• Administer medications and document compliance with standards

• Facilitate resident/family educational opportunities

• Coordinate nursing assignments for efficient service delivery

• Respond to medical emergencies and resident conditions

Requirements:

• Current LPN registration in Alberta

• Experience in senior care and with unregulated providers

• Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certifications

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Complete Vulnerable Sector Check within six months
