Registered Practical Nurse

Position: Registered Practical Nurse at Manitoulin Health Centre
Location: Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands

The Manitoulin Health Centre is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for temporary part-time roles at the Little Current location. You will play a key role in patient care by providing essential nursing services.

Ideal candidates will hold a current nursing registration and may have recent hospital experience, which is preferred. This position involves various responsibilities including patient hygiene, vital sign monitoring, and assistance with transfers as directed by physiotherapists. Enjoy the flexibility of working as a part-time nurse while playing an integral role in patient services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personal hygiene and bedside assistance to patients

• Consult with nurses to create and implement care plans

• Facilitate patient mobility and support physiotherapy activities

• Record and report patient vital signs and changes

• Manage admissions and discharge processes for patients

Requirements:

• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Preference for those with hospital experience

• Mandatory proof of Covid-19 vaccination status
