Licensed Practical Nurse in Tofino

Location: Central Island (Chemainus)

The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for Community Home Care in Tofino. Provide essential health care services focusing on holistic, culturally safe practices within the community.

This role requires an experienced LPN who can deliver care across diverse settings within the Nuu-chah-nulth territories. Responsibilities include health education, chronic disease management, and establishing therapeutic relationships with clients. Ideal candidates will possess a valid license with the BCCNP and demonstrate a commitment to cultural safety and community health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care for children and families

• Establish therapeutic relationships for ongoing health needs

• Assess client safety and develop service plans

• Provide education services to empower clients and families

• Assess community health needs using statistical data

Requirements:

• Graduate from a recognized practical nursing program

• Current BCCNP registration and license

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and relational practice

• Ability to work collaboratively within a health team

• Valid BC Driver’s license and reliable vehicle
