As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will report to the Director of Care and collaborate with an interprofessional team.

Your role includes conducting clinical assessments, implementing care plans, and administering medication while upholding provincial care standards. Engage with residents and their families, enhancing their quality of life through compassionate care and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform resident clinical assessments and document care accurately

• Administer medications in compliance with Extendicare policies

• Participate in resident care conferences and education

• Manage significant changes in resident conditions

• Support Infection Prevention and Control initiatives

Requirements:

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse

• Experience in seniors’ care preferred

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required

• Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening within 6 months
