Position: Registered Nurse for Forensic Care
Location: Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands

Make a difference in the lives of victims as a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Nurse Examiner, delivering expert trauma-informed medical care. This position is dedicated to both immediate and ongoing support for survivors.

In this role, you'll be a Registered Nurse, providing essential nursing care and performing forensic examinations. You will collaborate with healthcare practitioners and organizations while facilitating education and risk management for clients. Your skills in trauma-informed practices will be critical as you respond to calls and conduct thorough client assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage clients and assess medical needs

• Conduct detailed health and assault histories

• Administer medical-forensic examinations

• Assist in collecting forensic evidence

• Engage in community awareness events and education

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is essential

• Experience in acute care or women’s health preferred

• Prior SANE/NE experience is a strong advantage

• Strong communication and patient care skills

• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
