The SAFER Nurse will work under the guidance of clinical leaders to offer comprehensive assessment and care for individuals struggling with substance use and related health complexities. You'll engage with diverse populations, ensuring equitable healthcare access, and employing a trauma-informed approach to support participants’ health and wellness goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct participant assessments and health screenings thoroughly

• Provide harm reduction support and collaborative care strategies

• Manage medication administration per guidelines from physicians

• Support the development of individualized health care plans

• Engage in educational activities and community networking

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse accreditation with BCCNM

• 1 to 5 years of full-scope nursing experience in relevant areas

• Background in harm reduction or supervised consumption

• Strong awareness of social justice and anti-colonial practices

• Effective communication and crisis management skills
