As a Registered Nurse at Extendicare, you'll play a crucial role in resident and patient care. You will assist in assessments, develop care plans, and manage nursing staff. Your leadership skills will shine as you monitor performance and guide the team in the absence of the Director of Care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure nursing standards and physicians’ orders are followed

• Monitor and evaluate resident/patient care plans

• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance

• Provide direction to the nursing team as needed

• Conduct performance appraisals and report issues

Requirements:

• Current RN certificate from an approved institution

• Registered or eligible for registration in the province

• Previous experience in community or long-term care

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work well in teams
