As an Assistant Head Nurse, you will take responsibility for staff assignments and patient flow while acting as a mentor and clinical advocate for nursing staff.

Your role will require frontline nursing support and effective collaboration with healthcare teams to tackle complex care issues. Uphold AHS's vision by ensuring patient-centered and safe care practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Govern staff assignments and manage patient flow

• Provide frontline nursing care and support as needed

• Lead nursing staff in operational best practices

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for quality care

• Advocate for patient-centered approaches and care standards

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program

• Registration eligibility with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta

• BCLS certification as Health Care Provider

• At least 2 years' experience in Continuing Care

• Preferred degree in Nursing and Connect care training
