Position Overview
Tahir Medix Staffing is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential care in the Emergency Department at Queens General Hospital
. This opportunity is ideal for RNs looking for a flexible travel assignment in a rural healthcare setting.
Hospital Overview

• 12-care space emergency department serving patients of all ages.
• Core staffing per shift: Three RNs and one LPN, with an additional CCA on day shifts to assist admitted patients awaiting transfer.

• Deliver direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency setting.
• Assess, triage, and manage a variety of patient conditions, including trauma and acute medical cases.
• Perform point-of-care lab testing and administer medications per unit protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in accordance with Nova Scotia Health Authority guidelines.

• Active RN License in Nova Scotia
• Minimum one year of recent emergency department experience
• Mandatory certifications: BLS, ACLS, CTAS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, ENPC, PALS, NRP
• Proficiency in IV initiation and IV medication administration
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively under pressure
• Experience in rural emergency care settings is an asset
