Position: Full-Time RPN with Behavioural Care Focus
Location: Halton Regional Municipality (Campbellville)

Make an impact as a full-time Registered Practical Nurse at Extendicare in Halton Hills, leading the Behavioural Support Ontario initiative.

Your role involves providing compassionate care to residents with complex behavioral needs.

As part of the interdisciplinary team, you will employ person-centered strategies to ensure the best outcomes for residents experiencing dementia and other mental health issues. Your commitment to effective communication and leadership will be essential in guiding your peers and collaborating with families to enhance care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train and mentor staff on behavioral support strategies

• Perform assessments and record behavioral observations

• Implement care plans from external consultants

• Engage with families regarding care and concerns

• Promote resident dignity and well-being in care processes

Requirements:

• RPN certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Knowledge of dementia and responsive behaviors

• Current CPR and First Aid certification

• Effective English communication skills

• Availability for flexible working hours
