Lead community home care services as the Nurse in Charge with the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority. This role emphasizes clinical expertise, education, and patient care within integrated care teams.

At NTHSSA, the Nurse in Charge for Regional Home Care Services coordinates nursing and home support. You will manage nursing quality, advocate for ethical practices, and establish comprehensive home care programs, including palliative and chronic disease management. Your oversight ensures individual client assessments are thorough and adequately supported by staff and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage nursing delivery within the Home Care Program

• Monitor quality of care and staff training needs

• Advocate for ethical nursing practice environments

• Establish comprehensive community Home Care Programs

• Facilitate direct patient care through problem-solving approaches

Requirements:

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing with minimum of 3 years experience

• 1 year in continuing care and supervisory experience

• Valid Driver’s License required

• Eligibility for registration with the nursing college

• Proven recent nursing experience in full-time hours
