Position: Nursing Instructor at North Island College
Location: Comox

Elevate nursing education as a Nursing Instructor at North Island College. Engage with students in the Access to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program while focusing on mental health practice.

This part-time sessional assignment involves teaching the NUR 214:
Nursing Practice IV course in a face-to-face format at the Comox Valley practice agency. Successful candidates must possess current clinical expertise in Mental Health, a registered nurse credential, and teaching experience in adult education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare instructional materials for nursing courses

• Teach assigned subject matter and facilitate student learning

• Evaluate student performance and communicate outcomes

• Maintain office hours for student support and progress discussions

• Ensure compliance with college policies and health requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and current BCCNM registration

• Master’s degree preferred, or in progress

• Minimum three years of relevant full-time experience

• Current CPR level HCP certification

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
