• Provide quality resident care by assessing and assisting residents with their activities of daily living.
• Plan, implement and evaluate quality resident care, constantly striving to improve.
• Promote and support opportunities for professional development of self and other staff.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for residents and fellow staff members.
• Administer medications and treatments to residents.
• Act as a resource, leader and supervisor to other nursing staff.
• Perform probationary and annual performance appraisals, providing staff with appropriate feedback and coaching.
• Ensure resident documentation and reports are maintained.
• Pharmacy duties such as maintaining inventory records, ensuring the narcotics count is completed at shift change, and place pharmacy orders.
• Assume responsibility for the facility in the absence of Senior Management.
• Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information.

• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses.
• Standard First Aid, CPR and Phlebotomy required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Bachelor of Nursing is an asset.
• Experience in a geriatric setting is an asset.
