Keltic Lodge is a historic resort located in the heart of the magnificent Cape Breton Highlands National Park, proudly overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Just 2 hours from Sydney, NS, and a 5-hour drive from Halifax, the resort has been welcoming guests to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia since July 1940.

We are looking for hardworking, outdoor-oriented individuals to join our Grounds Crew as Turf Labourers. You will be responsible for the daily grooming and maintenance of our historic 18-hole championship course. From hand-mowing the greens to maintaining the bunkers and manicuring the rough, your work ensures that the Highlands Links remains a bucket-list destination for golfers worldwide. If you are passionate about providing world-class guest service and thrive in a fast-paced, scenic environment, we offer the unique opportunity to live, work, and grow within Canada's largest multi-course golf operator.

We are seeking committed, enthusiastic team members ready to contribute to another successful season of memorable experiences for our guests.

What we offer:

  • Staff golf at Cape Breton Highlands Links, subsidized staff accommodations, staff discounts on branded merchandise and select local attractions
  • Family and Friends rates
  • Training and development to support personal & professional growth
  • Career advancement opportunities within the company
  • Learn the science of turfgrass management and operate high-end specialized machinery.

  • Execute precision string-trimming around trees, yardage markers, and bunkers. Assist in changing cup locations and moving tee markers daily.
  • Assist in the application of fertilizers and seed. Help with "divot filling" programs on fairways and tee decks.
  • Participate in larger course improvement projects such as sodding, drainage installation, and bunker reconstruction.
  • Perform basic daily maintenance checks on equipment (checking oil, fuel, and cleaning machines after use). Report any mechanical issues immediately to the Shop Mechanic.
  • Maintain the clubhouse and hotel grounds, ornamental gardens, and pathways to ensure the entire resort property looks pristine.
  • Complying with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Golf North Health & Safety program.

  • A valid driver's license is required to operate machinery and utility vehicles safely.
  • Must be available for early morning starts (typically 5:00 AM) to ensure the course is prepared before the first golfers tee off.
  • Ability to follow strict mowing patterns and safety protocols to protect the sensitive turf.
