Our hospital features a full suite of modern diagnostic tools, including IDEXX blood machines, blood gas analysis, ultrasound, digital radiographs, and an incubator for in-house culture and sensitivity testing.

The Role:

As a mixed-animal practice, our caseload is diverse and rewarding. We require an adaptable and confident RVT who is comfortable stepping in to assist with both small and large animal cases. In this role, you will be trusted to utilize your comprehensive technical skill set in our modern facility while acting as a supportive advocate for our services, ensuring clients feel respected and heard.

Core Responsibilities:

Assist with large animal and equine cases, providing capable handling and treatment support.
Manage small animal surgical prep, induction, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery.
Perform comprehensive dental prophylaxis and acquire dental radiographs.
Collect and process in-house laboratory samples utilizing our IDEXX suite, blood gas analyzer, and culture incubator.
Obtain diagnostic imaging utilizing our high-definition DDR.
Deliver clear, comprehensive client education, confidently recommending treatments, preventative care, and clinic products that align with the chosen spectrum of care.
Navigate diverse client interactions with diplomacy and tact, building lasting partnerships that empower clients and drive long-term, positive change in their animals' health.
Collaborate effectively with our veterinarians and support staff to ensure a smooth, positive, and solution-oriented hospital workflow.

Candidate Requirements:

A diploma from an accredited Veterinary Technology program and active registration (or eligibility) with the BCVTA.
Strong critical thinking skills, a collaborative approach to daily challenges, and a high level of clinical competence.
Exceptional interpersonal skills-someone who meets clients where they are with genuine empathy, and who understands that excellent customer service and long-term relationships are key to better patient outcomes.
Comfortable working with and assisting on large animal cases.
A willingness to actively and confidently discuss services, preventative care, and products with clients.

What We Offer:

Compensation: $28-$34/hour
