Position: Veterinary Receptionist & Assistant Needed

East Hants Animal Hospital in Elmsdale, NS, is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist and Assistant. This dual role will allow you to engage with clients while supporting our veterinary team.

We are looking for an organized and compassionate candidate experienced in customer service, ideally with veterinary exposure. You will be responsible for creating a friendly environment, managing appointments, and assisting veterinary staff, making a positive impact on our clients' experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome clients and their pets warmly

• Handle phone systems and appointment booking

• Manage follow-up communications efficiently

• Assist with the admission and discharge of patients

• Ensure the cleanliness of the reception and treatment areas

Requirements:

• Client services experience or veterinary background

• Strong skills in customer relations

• Certification as a VA or VOA is advantageous

• Genuine love for companion animals

• Ability to carry out animal restraint tasks
