Climbing Arborist in Port Robinson

Join Davey Tree Expert Co. as a Climbing Arborist in Port Robinson, Ontario, focusing on tree management and public interaction. This hands-on role requires expertise in climbing and managing tree canopies.

In this full-time position, you will spend your days in the field, performing tree pruning, thinning, and deadwood removal. With at least one year of climbing experience, your skills in safely ascending tree heights will be crucial for effective vegetation management. Adhere to industry safety policies while using chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts to maintain job site standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prune, thin, and remove deadwood from tree canopies

• Install cables and lightning protection systems

• Operate and maintain all climbing and cutting equipment

• Assist with debris cleanup and job site organization

• Follow safety procedures in all aspects of work

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of climbing experience

• Certified Arborist or willingness to obtain certification

• Strong plant identification and knot skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

• Valid driver’s license; 5-ton vehicle experience preferred
