The Town of Tisdale Recreation and Parks Department is accepting applications for a Parks Labourer Worker to join our team.

Position Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Foreman and the Director of Recreation & Parks.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of parks, green spaces, trails, cemetery grounds, and recreational facilities
  • Operation and basic maintenance of department equipment and machinery
  • Lawn care, landscaping, and groundskeeping duties
  • Assisting with set-up and tear-down of recreational events and facilities
  • Perform custodial duties
  • Responsibility of securing the building
  • Ensuring public spaces are safe, clean, and well-maintained
  • Work collaboratively with all staff or independently to meet operational goals
  • Perform additional duties and provide additional support as assigned
  • Be accessible and able to communicate and work with the public and community organizations
Preferred Qualifications /skills include
  • It is expected that ALL applicants will include copies of all current certifications and awards when they apply.
  • Valid drivers license and drivers abstract
  • Possess and demonstrate sound mechanical knowledge in various types of equipment
  • Responsible, self-motivated, team-oriented
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
Additional Information
  • Job Status Full-Time commencing September 17th, 2026
  • Starting Wage Minimum starting wage $20.00/hr.

    - negotiable depending on qualifications (benefits as per Collective Agreement with CUPE Local 777-02)
  • Must provide a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
