Outdoor Seed Orchard Picker

Location: Central Saanich

Join the ranks of dedicated outdoor workers as a Seed Orchard Picker or Pruner. You’ll need to lift heavy supplies, operate essential equipment, and work in all weather conditions.

In this physically demanding role, candidates will handle bags of fertilizer and operate orchard equipment like lifts and pruners. You must be comfortable working outdoors year-round and capable of safely working at heights up to 5 metres. Being mindful of allergens and chemicals is also crucial in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lift supplies weighing up to 25 kg

• Operate orchard lifts, pruners, and weed eaters

• Work safely at heights using ladders

• Manage outdoor tasks in various weather conditions

• Adhere to safety protocols around chemicals

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 16 years

• Physically fit for demanding tasks

• Ability to work outdoors in changing conditions

• Experience with orchard equipment preferred

• Awareness of allergens and chemical safety
