Quality Control Advisor

Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Specialist oversees and executes quality assurance and food safety programs at the plant level, ensuring all production processes meet quality standards and coordinating with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

Lead implementation and continuous improvement of quality systems (HACCP, GMPs, GLPs, food safety programs).

Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Analyze quality data (KPIs, test results) and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Collaborate with production and cross‑functional teams to resolve non‑conformities and improve processes.

Manage customer and supplier complaints, including investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution.

Oversee sampling programs and ensure accurate data collection, documentation, and audit readiness.

Develop and deliver training on quality and food safety standards to plant employees.

Support continuous improvement initiatives, maintain SOPs, and ensure effective product hold/release processes.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (required);
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in quality assurance in a food manufacturing environment.

Experience with HACCP, GMPs, GLPs and regulatory compliance.

HACCP Certification preferred; SQF Practitioner preferred.

Knowledge of French required for positions in Quebec.

Ability to work collaboratively, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills.
