As a Sample Preparation Technician at Newmont, you play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of geological and metallurgical data. Your work directly supports safe, efficient laboratory operations and high‑quality assay results that inform operational and business decisions.

• Safely receive, sort, dry, crush, split, and pulverize samples in accordance with SOPs and laboratory quality standards
• Support daily assay laboratory operations while achieving safety and production KPIs
• Accurately log samples, prepare labels, and complete QA/QC and production documentation
• Perform routine equipment checks, basic preventive maintenance, and housekeeping
• Identify, record, and report abnormal conditions, unsafe work, or equipment issues
• Collaborate with lab supervisors and team members to support continuous improvement

• Experience in sample preparation, laboratory, mill, or mining environments preferred
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and procedural compliance
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in a production‑based environment
• Basic equipment operation skills and strong attention to detail
• Reliable, team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to complete required training

• Based at a remote mine‑site assay laboratory
• Hands‑on, safety‑critical, and production‑focused setting
• Shift work with exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment
• Strong emphasis on teamwork, safety culture, and continuous improvement at Newmont

The expected salary range for this role is CA $34.11/hr . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job‑related education, training, and/or experience.
