HACCP expertise meets technical writing in this full-time, on-site Coordinator role at a meat processing facility in Parkhill, Ontario. Support practical food safety procedures daily.
Working with the QA Manager, the HACCP Coordinator develops, updates, and maintains HACCP systems and Preventive Control Plans. The work emphasizes documentation, document control, production-floor verification, and clear communication. You will support programs covering sanitation, sampling, chilling, traceability, recalls, and supplier approvals.
Key Responsibilities:- Write and update HACCP, PCP, SOP, and work instruction documents
- Maintain hazard analyses, process flows, monitoring, and corrective actions
- Support sanitation, sampling, chilling, labelling, traceability, and recall programs
- Prepare for CFIA, customer, Halal, and certification audits
- Review QA data and identify documentation gaps
- Education in food science, food safety, microbiology, or related discipline
- HACCP training and understanding of HACCP principles
- Experience developing or maintaining food safety programs
- Strong technical writing, editing, and document-control skills
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency with strong organizational skills
