NAIT is seeking motivated students to join the Plant and Seed Technology Access Centre team.

Your role will involve assisting with seed collection, extraction, and germination testing while participating in tree planting initiatives with Indigenous communities. This is an ideal opportunity for college and undergraduate students in Biological Sciences or related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct seed collection in northern Alberta

• Perform seed extraction and germination testing in labs

• Participate in tree planting with local communities

• Assist in greenhouse activities like plant propagation

• Conduct data entry and assist researchers as needed

Requirements:

• Full-time availability from July 2026 - December 2026

• Enrollment in Biological Sciences, Ecology, or related programs

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with 2 years of experience

• Basic plant identification and gardening knowledge

• Physical fitness for fieldwork in various conditions
