Location: Ardrossan
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Technical Agronomist - Field Research & Grower Support for a leading organization in the agriculture sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate agriculture professional who enjoys working directly with growers, field trials, research projects, and technical agronomic support.
Reporting to the Regional Technical Manager, you will help drive product performance and customer success through field research, demonstration trials, technical training, and collaboration with growers, agronomists, retailers, and industry influencers.

- Pay Rate: $36.00 - $ 45.00/hour
- Location: Ardrossan, AB
- Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)

Field Trial & Research Management
- Plan, execute, and manage large-scale grower trials and demonstration sites
- Conduct field evaluations and collect data to support product performance and marketing initiatives
- Operate and maintain equipment related to spraying, field maintenance, and harvest activities
- Coordinate third-party research programs and demonstration projects
- Analyze field and research data to support sales and marketing strategies
- Provide technical expertise regarding crop protection products, agronomic practices, and product performance
- Respond to product-related questions and support field investigations when required
- Assist with technical problem-solving and field diagnostics
- Develop tools, reports, and recommendations based on research findings and field data
- Deliver technical presentations to growers, retailers, consultants, and internal teams
- Provide training and coaching to sales representatives on product positioning and field investigation techniques
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry influencers, including:
- Growers
- Agronomists
- Agricultural retailers
- Universities
- Industry consultants
- Extension specialists
- Support alignment between technical, sales, and marketing teams
- Supervise and mentor Technical Agronomy Interns during seasonal projects
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive regional business objectives
- Support demand creation initiatives and contribute to overall business growth
- M.Sc. in Agriculture, Biology, Agronomy, Crop Science, Weed Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology, or a related discipline with approximately 1.5 years of relevant experience OR
- B.Sc. in Agriculture, Biology, Agronomy, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, research, agronomy, or agriculture-related roles
- Experience working directly with growers, retailers, or agricultural customers
- Strong understanding of crop production systems and agronomic practices
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Self-motivated with excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Power Point
- Web-based applications
- CCSC certification (or willingness to obtain) is required
- Willingness to pursue P.Ag. and/or CCA designation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
- Passion for agriculture and innovation
- Strong field research and agronomy knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Customer-focused mindset
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Team player who enjoys building relationships across the industry
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
