Part-Time Security Officer Port Hardy

Location: North Island, Sunshine Coast, and Southern Gulf Islands (Whistler)

Island Health is looking for a part-time Protection Services Officer at Port Hardy Hospital. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a secure environment for both staff and patients.

In this role, you'll report to the Team Leader, Protection Services, and enforce safety protocols in accordance with hospital policies. Your duties may include traveling to different locations and performing security checks to uphold a high standard of quality. Candidates should have proven communication skills and relevant security certifications to effectively manage safety concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security measures at multiple hospital sites

• Address security incidents promptly and efficiently

• Perform regular patrols and safety checks

• Communicate effectively with hospital staff

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Recognized Security Training certification

• At least one year of related experience

• Valid B.C. Security Guard License with handcuff endorsement

• Class 5 BC Driver's License mandatory
