Reports to: Manager of Security and Emergency Preparedness
Status: Permanent Full-time
Responsibilities- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
- Investigate and act as security agents for area managers and patrons
- Act as first responder in emergency code events
- Use audio and video equipment for monitoring
- Oversee all security and CCTV surveillance issues
- Maintain and administer security programs
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Demonstrate organizational skills and ability to multi‑task
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing hospital environment
- Knowledge of safety practices, procedures and guidelines
- Friendly and helpful demeanor and disposition
- Open to new ideas and committed to continuous improvement
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent, or minimum 1 year in related field
- Security Guard License
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License
- First Aid / CPR Certificate
- Level 2 CPIC
- Defined benefit pension plan (HOOPP)
