Work Schedule: 12 hours rotating shifts

  • Position Summary

    The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities. This role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement efforts within the facility.

    Salary: $40.27/hour

    Responsibilities:

  • Install, align, dismantle, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, agitators, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to support installations and repairs.
  • Utilize CMMS (SAP or equivalent) to track work orders, maintenance history, and scheduling.
  • Operate welding, machining, and hand tools to fabricate or modify machine parts as required.
  • Collaborate with other trades and departments to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following Ontario Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge and skill requirements
    :

  • Must have Skilled trades designation
  • Final year Mechanical Apprentices might be considered.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent walking, standing, squatting, and reaching required
