Position: Ontario Parole and Probation Officer Opening

This position requires a strong foundation in social work or criminology, with a focus on helping offenders overcome barriers to change. You will work closely with diverse communities and justice partners, ensuring compliance while promoting social justice and rehabilitation through evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide essential services to adult offenders on probation and parole

• Prepare detailed reports for courts and boards

• Monitor offender compliance with court conditions

• Conduct risk assessments and devise case plans

• Support offenders through counseling and resources

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or substantial experience

• Five years’ minimum experience in correctional settings

• Ability to travel to specified locations

• Demonstrated skills in motivational interviewing and counselling

• Understanding of Indigenous issues and sensitivities
