Organization Overview
Lauren crest Youth Services Inc. is a non‑profit organization that offers trauma‑informed, community‑based services to at‑risk youth and their families in the Cornwall area, Akwesasne, and the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Prescott, and Russell. In 2025, we re‑opened our residential placement program, (2 beds) for youth 12‑18 years of age, in partnership with local child welfare agencies.

Position Summary
The Program Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision of the 2‑bed residential program, ensuring service quality, youth safety, and regulatory compliance. This person will supervise front‑line staff, coordinate clinical and operational supports, and serve as the primary point of contact with child protection partners. The role also includes on‑call responsibilities to ensure 24/7 support and crisis response, including shift coverage.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and support all of the Program Workers in delivering safe, trauma‑informed care, this includes staff orientation, monthly 1‑1 with staff, leading staff meetings, leading shift hurdles, and beyond.

Manage and participate in all of the daily operations of the residence (meals, activity/ program planning, preparation and implementation, transportation, safety, medication, incident reporting, shift documentation, etc.).

Collaborate with clinical staff, child protection workers, and healthcare professionals to support individualized service plans.

Maintain documentation in accordance with agency, licensing, and Ministry standards.

Participate in the on‑call and respond to emergencies, shift coverages and/or support staff outside of regular hours.

Support the profile matching, youth intake and discharge procedures in collaboration with referring agencies.

Lead programs with the youth and staff, while balancing the managerial administrative expectations, such as creating and completing forms, creating staff schedules and menus, and beyond.

Monitor the physical site and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and supply needs.

Contribute to staff training, performance evaluation, discipline, hiring process and team development.

Ensure that youth and staff voices, safety, cultural identity, and emotional needs are respected at all times.

Support the Executive Director, and Assistant Direct with licensing, if required.

Other responsibilities may be added, changed, or modified depending on the program and the agency's needs at the discretion of the employer.

Requirements

College diploma or university degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a residential or live‑in treatment program for youth.

Experience in program coordination, supervision, or team leadership.

Strong knowledge of trauma‑informed care, crisis intervention, and child protection systems, including a strong understanding of youth mental health, and crisis de‑escalation.

Strong interpersonal skills with a non‑judgmental, youth‑centered approach.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Must work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on‑call.

Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Valid First Aid/CPR certification.

Bilingualism (English/French) is mandatory.

Schedule and Compensation

Full‑time, with on‑call responsibilities, salaried position (approximately 40 hours per week).
