Step into an impactful role as a Relief Support Worker with MUSKOKA WOMEN’S SHELTERS AND SERVICES in Bracebridge and Huntsville. This crucial position focuses on providing compassionate support and crisis management for women in need.

You will work on an as-needed basis, filling various shifts to assist shelter staff while providing immediate assistance to survivors of violence. Your primary duties include conducting assessments, offering emotional and practical support, and engaging with community organizations. Flexibility for scheduling is a must, as shifts will vary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to crisis situations with immediate support

• Facilitate intake and discharge for shelter residents

• Assist with outreach and resource referrals

• Maintain compliance with safety and confidentiality standards

• Keep detailed records and logs of services provided

Requirements:

• Education in a relevant field or related experience

• Knowledge of complex issues surrounding violence against women

• Experience with diverse clientele and community services

• Excellent judgment and communication skills

• Own a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license preferred
