Crisis Support Worker in Addictions

Location: Northwestern Ontario (Red Lake)

Join KOBE Inquest as a Crisis Support Worker in the Safe Sobering Space, dedicated to youth aged 13-21 struggling with substance use. Provide crucial support in a culturally informed detoxification environment.

Ideal candidates should have a degree or diploma in Social Work with extensive experience in educational and counseling roles. You will collaborate with various teams to promote effective follow-up and after-care while maintaining safety and support for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver immediate crisis support during detoxification

• Coordinate with onsite teams for incident management

• Develop after-care services and cultural referrals

• Track and document all incidents and service processes

• Conduct workshops on addiction awareness and prevention

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or related field preferred

• Five years of relevant experience required

• Knowledge of First Nations health and education issues

• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills

• Proficiency in crisis management and documentation
