Position: Community Services Assistant at The Salvation Army

Support community needs at The Salvation Army as a Community Services Assistant. Focus on food distribution and client assistance while fostering a welcoming environment.

This part-time, temporary role involves organizing the food bank and assisting clients through assessments and emergency services. The Community Ministries Worker must maintain confidential client files and provide a friendly, respectful service to individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess client needs through intake assessments

• Offer emergency direct services to clients

• Keep accurate records of client interactions

• Ensure food bank and services area are clean

• Complete additional duties as requested

Requirements:

• High School diploma plus social work education

• Max one year related work experience

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software

• Capability to work independently

Engage with the community and assist families in need through strategic support at The Salvation Army.
