Youth Counsellor & Program Manager

Position: Youth Counsellor & Program Manager Role
Location: Ontario Centre (Queensville)

Become a Youth Counsellor and Program Manager with the Women’s Support Network in Newmarket to support youth survivors of sexual violence. This full-time role requires strong counselling and project coordination skills.

You will manage the Fostering Mental Health & Wellness in Youth Survivors Project while offering individualized support. This includes counselling for youth impacted by trauma and leading program activities. The position necessitates some availability for evening and weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project timelines and maintain accurate records

• Provide counselling to youth survivors from a feminist framework

• Collaborate with community services and advocate for clients

• Document clinical sessions accurately and confidentially

• Participate in outreach and community engagement initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of related counselling experience

• Knowledge of legislation affecting youth and trauma

• Experience with supervising project teams

• Bilingualism is an asset; second language preferred

• Computer proficiency in reporting and documentation
