Social Worker at West Coast Seniors

Location: Cariboo and West Okanagan (100 Mile House)

Become a vital part of the team at West Coast Seniors Housing Management as a Social Worker. This role focuses on supporting residents in long-term and convalescent care in Williams Lake, BC.

As a Social Worker, you will report directly to the General Manager and provide crucial social work services to residents and their families.

Your role includes informing families of available services, performing evaluations, and facilitating quality admissions and discharges. Join a committed team to enhance resident experiences and resolve psychosocial challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with residents and families

• Evaluate and implement best practices for quality care

• Assist in assessing applicants for resident suitability

• Prepare resident psychosocial histories for care conferences

• Provide consultation to families on community resources

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work required

• 3 years' experience in long-term care

• Current registration with BC College of Social Workers

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in English, with computer skills
