Community Support Worker in Care

Location: Central Island (Chemainus)

Pacific Coast Community Resources seeks a Community Support Worker committed to caring for individuals in staffed homes. This role enhances independence and community integration.

As a Community Support Worker, you will be part of a compassionate team that supports individuals with disabilities.

Your role includes advocating for clients, facilitating Personal Service Plans, and assisting with daily living tasks. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide personal care will help clients thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advocate for the rights and choices of supported individuals

• Support clients in daily living activities and medication needs

• Develop and document individualized care plans

• Maintain positive relationships with families and community members

• Keep living spaces clean and support food preparation

Requirements:

• Grade 12 and Community Support Worker Diploma

• Minimum 2 years in community social services

• Current certifications in First Aid/CPR and Food Safe

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Criminal record clearance for vulnerable adults
