Position: Committee of Adjustment Coordinator Role
Location: Parry Sound Mid-Shore (Bala)

Elevate your planning career as the Committee of Adjustment Coordinator. You'll manage applications for severance and variances while working closely with stakeholders in a collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Manager of Planning, this role encompasses key responsibilities related to processing applications and fulfilling statutory functions. With two to three years of relevant experience, you will coordinate with external clients, prepare essential documentation, and ensure compliance with the Planning Act. Your expertise in legislation and technology, especially GIS, will be paramount in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Secretary/Treasurer for the Committee of Adjustment

• Process severance, zoning amendments, and minor variance applications

• Coordinate with external clients for timely approvals

• Prepare Notices of Hearing and Decision as required

• Manage Committee agendas and meeting logistics

Requirements:

• Post-secondary certificate in Planning or related field

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role

• Understanding of legislation and regulatory compliance

• Proficiency in GIS mapping and standard office software

• Ability to work independently and make recommendations
