Support Worker in La Ronge

Location: La Ronge

Make a difference with the Lac La Ronge Indian Band as a Support Worker in the Woodland Wellness Centre. This full-time role focuses on assisting families, cultural programming, and community wellness initiatives.

This Support Worker position within the Prevention & Recovery Department requires dedication to supporting children, youth, and families. You will assist in coordinating services, preparing materials for cultural events, and fostering communication with families. Collaborative work with the program coordinator and community will be essential to enhance holistic services offered to the clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating developmental and cultural activities

• Prepare resources and materials for community events

• Support family communication about programming and events

• Contribute to creating safe, culturally grounded environments

• Provide transportation to counseling and approved programming

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

• Over 1 year experience in family support services

• Knowledge of Woodlands Cree Culture and traditions

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Support clients' emotional and social needs while engaging with the community and promoting cultural activities.
