Position: Support Services Worker at The Salvation Army

Your role will focus on providing aid and guidance to individuals and families.

As a full-time team member, you will aid in assessments and emergency assistance, including food and clothing support. Responsibilities also encompass organizing community programs and maintaining the food bank’s operations. Collaborating with various agencies ensures comprehensive support for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessments for client support needs

• Provide emergency assistance and organize seasonal programs

• Manage and maintain cleanliness of the food bank

• Supervise and train volunteers in service delivery

• Coordinate with community providers for client resources

Requirements:

• Two years related experience in social services

• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and vehicle

• Strong community networking experience

• Safe Food Handlers Certification preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
