Position: CAVAC Liaison Officer for Cree Communities
Location: Nunavik (Kuujjuaq)

Empower Cree communities as a CAVAC Liaison Officer on a permanent, full-time basis. Lead local efforts in education, awareness, and support for victims of sexual violence.

This role focuses on creating awareness and providing programming related to sexual violence. The Liaison Officer will connect with local institutions and urban resources for the Cree population. You will participate in workshops and case management while advocating for the needs of victims within your community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support victims of sexual violence in Cree communities

• Act as a resource for sexual violence cases in colleges

• Conduct presentations on violence prevention for youth

• Collaborate with local organizations and Elders for healing circles

• Produce activity and statistics reports for service improvement

Requirements:

• Degree in Criminology, Psychology, or Sociology

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience

• Fluent in Cree, English;
French is an asset

• Strong understanding of Cree culture and customs

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
